A rare contract opportunity for a career focused People & Culture Advisor is available within our talented and supportive P&C Business Partnering team. The role is a generalist role and will involve leading the employment relations and case management portfolio for the Australian and NZ Youi businesses, as well as championing various P&C projects across the business. The successful candidate will deliver sound advice, coaching, guidance and administration to leaders at Youi, ensuring fairness, consistency, risk mitigation and industrial compliance, whilst tracking and reporting on ongoing cases to the P&C leadership group. You will be managing a variety of cases from WHS, return to work, requests for altered rostering and leave matters, whilst always looking for ways that Youi can improve its approach, policies and procedures.
This challenging yet exciting role will require someone with a high level of energy and resilience, as well as the desire to learn and deliver. You will be someone who always demonstrates sound judgement and discretion, combined with a vast knowledge of modern awards and employee legislation in Australia as well as (preferred) exposure to the NZ employment relations environment. Tertiary qualifications in a HR related discipline are preferred as well as a proven track record in a hands-on generalist HR position navigating complex ER matters. You will be working with a diverse portfolio and as such must possess the ability to engage, advise and support all levels of the business including executives, with well-developed communication and relationship building skills. Finally, you will have a great sense of self awareness and emotional intelligence, with a flexible and collaborative approach to your work.
The role will initially be a 12-month fixed term, full time opportunity. You can base yourself at our Sunshine Coast head office, however a flexible work environment is also supported where you can split your week across both the office and WFH.
