About the Role

Right now, it’s an incredibly exciting period of growth for Youi as we bring new products to market and expand our distribution channels. To futureproof our ambitious goals, we have a large risk transformation program (RTP) underway to uplift our risk maturity, strengthen risk frameworks and enhance visibility to ensure we can continue to grow at scale. To support the program and help transition the deliverables into Business as Usual, we are recruiting for a Risk Manager.

The successful Risk SME will partner with the business to uplift our risk management framework, improve operational efficiencies, improve governance and reporting, uphold best practice as well as assist the business to promote and drive a strong risk culture. The Risk Manager will then help to transition the deliverables to Business as Usual and work to maintain risk policies, processes and procedures. You will work alongside our Head of Risk assisting with everything from strategic planning through to implementation of policies, procedures and systems. This is an exceptional opportunity to be both strategic and “hands on”.

About You

  • Significant experience in Risk, Compliance, Finance or Assurance roles, preferably within a general insurance or financial services organisation
  • Strong knowledge of all facets of non-financial risk management including operational risk, regulatory risk, compliance and conduct risk
  • Extensive experience in the articulation of risks and identification of controls
  • Adaptability, ability to work autonomously, critical thinker, problem solver and a default style to drive outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong commercial acumen, report writing and presentation skills
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline preferred (i.e. legal, compliance, risk or business)
