In this role, you’ll lead research initiatives including brand and ad tracking, audience insights, competitor analysis, and market opportunities. Working closely with both internal teams and external partners, you’ll design research plans, create questionnaires, and deliver findings that align consumer insights with business objectives.

Ways of working
This position can be situated at either our headquarters on the Sunshine Coast or in our Fortitude Valley office.
We operate with a hybrid approach, requiring office presence from Tuesday to Thursday on location, while offering the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
If you are based in Brisbane, you will be required to travel to HQ two days per week.
Key priorities
- Lead and manage end-to-end consumer and creative research programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop research plans, define methodologies, and create questionnaires, balancing scope, budget, and timeline.
- Partner with external agencies when needed and collaborate with stakeholders to address business needs.
- Conduct fieldwork (e.g., in-depth interviews), analyse data, and distil insights into actionable recommendations.
- Present findings creatively to stakeholders and identify opportunities to drive strategy, customer experience, and brand value.
- Advocate for the consumer/customer and understand customer journeys in relation to business goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align research with business objectives and lead external engagement with research partners.
- Facilitate ideation workshops and foster a human-centered design culture across the organisation.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Research, Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology, or related field.
- Experience in market, preferably in a brand or agency setting (3+ years is a general indicator).
- Strong expertise in quantitative research and methodologies; qualitative experience is a plus.
- Proven track record working with research agencies (quant and qual).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex data for non-research audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills (SPSS proficiency).
- Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities.
- Skilled in building relationships with stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong negotiation skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Empathetic listener with a balanced perspective.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for research and human-centered design.
- Proactive in identifying risks and opportunities.
