If you’ve worked on homes as a carpenter, electrician, plumber, painter, plasterer or another trade, you already know how houses go together and what it takes to fix them properly.

This role lets you use that knowledge in a new way. You’ll be in the office, assessing home damage from your desk and helping customers get life back to normal.

If you want to keep using your trade experience while building new skills in assessing, decision making and customer support, this is where you start.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assess home damage from photos, reports and quotes from your desk at HQ
  • Review claims, estimate repair costs and decide on repair or replacement options
  • Use multiple systems to review information, record decisions and keep assessments moving
  • Work with our repairer network to ensure repairs are safe, fair and completed properly
  • Speak with customers, explain next steps clearly and help manage expectations
  • Use your trade judgement to make fair, evidence-based decisions within claims guidelines
  • Manage a portfolio of assessments and prioritise work to keep claims progressing
  • Work full time, Monday to Friday, in office. Desktop means no site travel
