Purpose of the role
We’re seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to own and grow Youi’s organic search performance. As an experienced SEO, you’ll be familiar with structured SEO programs, responsible with building equity through technical, content and authority activities that ultimately lead to sustainable long-term SEO outcomes. You’ll directly contribute and drive SEO activity on multiple fronts, primarily playing the role of SEO domain expert, but will also be required to deliver top-to-bottom SEO activities from initial analysis, through delivery to measurement and reporting. In this role you’ll be supported by established contributors across marketing, UX and technology along with external partners. You will own SEO performance measures on key digital assets including the Youi website, contributing to business-wide objectives.
Key priorities
- Own and deliver Youi’s SEO roadmap, balancing quick wins with long-term, scalable growth.
- Lead SEO strategy across technical SEO, content optimisation, and link-building initiatives.
- Stay ahead of emerging search trends, including generative AI, evolving SERPs, and changing user behaviour.
- Conduct and lead technical SEO audits, working closely with IT and digital teams to improve site health and performance.
- Oversee structured data, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexation, and accessibility best practices.
- Identify keyword and content opportunities to improve rankings, traffic quality, and conversion outcomes.
- Collaborate in-office with content, UX and analytics teams to deliver data-led, user-first content strategies.
- Develop and manage ethical link-building and digital PR strategies to strengthen domain authority.
- Monitor backlink profiles, identifying risks and opportunities to maintain a healthy link ecosystem.
- Build and maintain SEO dashboards and reporting to track performance, insights, and competitor activity.
- Translate SEO insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
About you – experience & capability
- 5+ years’ hands-on SEO experience, ideally across large or enterprise-level websites.
- Strong expertise across technical SEO, content optimisation, and authority building.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and modern SEO best practice.
- Confident working with GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and SEO tooling.
- Comfortable partnering closely with developers, marketers, content creators, and UX teams.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and articulate SEO’s commercial impact.
- Curious, proactive, and genuinely passionate about the future of search — especially AI-driven change.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred but not essential).

Youi operates a hybrid model, with a strong emphasis on in-office collaboration:
- In-office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
Sippy Downs HQ (Sunshine Coast)

Fortitude Valley office
Located at the corner of James St and Ann St, close to public transport and Brisbane’s best dining and retail.
Please note: this role requires at least 2 days per week in the Sippy Downs office.
