About the role  

Youi is a tech-driven insurance company where we believe our build-first mentality gives us a competitive edge. The Solutions Architect will work closely with our engineering squads to translate business needs into scalable architectures, as well as our Platform Engineering team to design and implement standard patterns and engineering practices.  

Ways of working  

This position can be located at our headquarters on the Sunshine Coast, or at our offices in Fortitude Valley. 

We operate with a hybrid approach, requiring office presence from Tuesday to Thursday on location, while offering the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.  

Key priorities  

• Technology Architecture: Design scalable, compliant, and secure cloud-based solutions. Contribute to reusable architecture patterns and collaborate with cross-functional teams. 

• Architecture Practice: Develop and document solution architectures, run discovery workshops, and participate in architecture forums and proof of concept trials of new technologies. 

• Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, support application development, and promote the use of patterns and good engineering practices. Contribute to architecture governance processes and decision-making. 

• Workplace Health & Safety: Adhere to WHS policies, ensuring a safe work environment. 
   

About you  

• 3+ years in a Solutions Architect or Technical Lead role. 

• Experience designing cloud-based solutions (Azure preferred).  

• Background in software development (C#.NET preferred). 

• Proven expertise in solution, application or integration architecture. 

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. 

• Familiarity with security and compliance in cloud/on-prem environments. 

• Experience working in Agile teams.
