About the role  

Drive business success by applying analytical expertise to solve key challenges, optimise costs, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices. Play a key role in delivering profitable pricing and underwriting strategies while ensuring high-quality, timely project execution. 

Ways of working  

This position can be located at our Sydney or Brisbane office. 

We operate with a hybrid approach, requiring office presence from Tuesday to Thursday on location, while offering the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.  

Key priorities  

  • Risk Analysis & Pricing: Assess risk rating, portfolio trends, and underwriting features to optimize pricing and product strategies. 

  • Data & Modeling: Build statistical models, analyse key data sources, and implement necessary rating and underwriting changes. 

  • Reporting & Insights: Develop accurate, timely reports to support business decisions and maintain clear documentation. 

  • Stakeholder Support: Assist sales teams with underwriting queries, ensuring consistency and timely responses. 

  • System Enhancements: Identify and contribute to improvements in pricing, underwriting, and policy systems. 

  • Workplace Safety: Adhere to WHS policies to maintain a safe and responsible work environment. 
     

About you  

  • Qualifications: Tertiary degree in an analytical field or Actuarial studies (preferred). 

  • Experience & Knowledge: Understanding of actuarial and general insurance concepts (preferred but not required). 

  • Skills & Attributes: Proactive, organized, and self-driven with a curious mindset and eagerness to learn. 

  • Values & Commitment: Aligns with company values, thrives in a dynamic environment, and upholds compliance standards.
