Purpose of the role
Apply actuarial principles across the business to create value, reduce costs, improve efficiency, and embed best practices. Contribute to effective and profitable rating and underwriting, with a focus on optimising systems and processes in the short to medium term.
Key priorities
- Analyse risk rating, underwriting features, and portfolio trends against expectations.
- Identify variances and lead changes to rating, underwriting, or product strategies.
- Build statistical models to improve understanding and decision-making.
- Contribute to pricing, underwriting, and policy system enhancements.
- Identify and lead projects to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Support rating system updates and data utilisation.
- Develop and maintain repeatable code and analysis tools.
- Design and deliver accurate, timely reports and dashboards.
- Ensure data insights are reliable, well-documented, and continuously reviewed.
About you
Experience & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
- 1–5 years’ experience in an actuarial role.
- Strong computer and programming skills (C# advantageous).
- Passion for systems, coding, and process improvement.
- Solid knowledge of actuarial, insurance, and business concepts.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change.
- Team player with strong business acumen.

Youi offers a hybrid model: in-office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
