Purpose of the role 

Apply actuarial principles across the business to create value, reduce costs, improve efficiency, and embed best practices. Contribute to effective and profitable rating and underwriting, with a focus on optimising systems and processes in the short to medium term.

Key priorities 

• Analyse risk rating, underwriting features, and portfolio trends against expectations.
• Identify variances and lead changes to rating, underwriting, or product strategies.
• Build statistical models to improve understanding and decision-making.
• Contribute to pricing, underwriting, and policy system enhancements.
• Identify and lead projects to improve processes and efficiencies.
• Support rating system updates and data utilisation.
• Develop and maintain repeatable code and analysis tools.
• Design and deliver accurate, timely reports and dashboards.
• Ensure data insights are reliable, well-documented, and continuously reviewed.

About you 
Experience & Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
• 1–5 years’ experience in an actuarial role.
• Strong computer and programming skills (C# advantageous).
• Passion for systems, coding, and process improvement.
• Solid knowledge of actuarial, insurance, and business concepts.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change.
• Team player with strong business acumen.

Youi offers a hybrid model: in-office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
