Purpose of the role 

Provide financial accounting services to support operational performance, ensuring accurate financial data and controls across the general ledger and transactions. Analyse trends to meet financial targets and performance goals.

Key priorities 

• Financial Accounting: Handle monthly general ledger journals, ledger reconciliations, and support monthly financial reporting. Contribute to the financial statement preparation and statutory reporting.
• Compliance & Taxation: Ensure compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies as well as statutory obligations, including BAS and FBT submissions.
• Process Improvement & Risk Management: Enhance financial processes, ensure internal controls, and support audits.
• Workplace Safety & Culture: Uphold WHS policies, proactively manage risks, and embody company values.

About you 
Experience & Knowledge:

Qualifications:

• CPA/CA qualified or studying towards

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in a similar finance role.
• High attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Knowledge:

• General Insurance Industry experience is a plus but not required.

Qualities:

• Commercially savvy with strong relationship management skills.
• High integrity, accountability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
