About the Role 

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced product manager with a strong CTP background to join us and lead the growth of Youi’s CTP product. This is a pivotal senior leadership role where the successful candidate will be expected to have a detailed working knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines, engage with stakeholders including regulators, third parties/distribution partners and represent Youi at industry forums, working groups and projects.   

This role will be based in Sydney. 

Reporting to the Head of CTP Product, you will be responsible for: 

  • Scheme regulator liaison on CTP product related matters 

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant CTP scheme guidelines, requirements and obligations 

  • P&L monitoring and reporting including internal alignment with Youi’s requirements 

  • Pricing input, involving liaising with internal and external stakeholders as relevant     

  • Budgeting and strategic planning 

  • External relationship management with third parties including regulators, government and other scheme participants 

  • Internal relationship management across all areas of the organisation including the Product Office, actuarial, legal and compliance, finance, sales, marketing and digital, and the Claims function.  

  • Working closely with the Operations teams to ensure sales processes and practices are aligned with scheme requirements 

  • Working closely with IT to define business requirements that adhere to compliance and regulatory responsibilities, and oversee implementation of initiatives that improve customer experience 

  • Internal and external operational reporting 

About You 

  • Significant financial services/insurance experience with specific expertise and working knowledge of the CTP product including the Motor Accident Injuries Act (2017)  

  • Demonstrated product development experience and an in-depth understanding of insurance pricing and market principles 

  • Track record in leading through ambiguity, and providing clarity to stakeholders and colleagues 

  • Excellent communicator with proven experience influencing stakeholders, effectively negotiating and driving results 

  • Knowledge of legislative and technical requirements impacting the financial services industry 

  • Demonstrated ability to maximise outcomes through innovation and continuous improvement 

  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing timelines, whilst embracing change in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strategic data interpretation, analysis and reporting skills – we love data at Youi! 

  • An understanding of privately underwritten CTP schemes around Australia would also be well regarded
