In this role, you will be assessing third party motor claims via desktop to determine fair and reasonable costs.

On a normal day, you will:

• Inspect claims files and images to assess damage, determine loss extent, and get online quotations to authorise claim settlements within guidelines
• Prepare assessments following organisational objectives, business guidelines, and the Code of Practice
• Authorise costs and replacements based on the best value quotations and supervise the repair work quality
• Handle disputed recoveries and settlements through expert review
• Communicate outcomes and recommendations to department staff
• Support colleagues to improve efficiencies and positively influence business and customer outcomes

About you:

• Must have a trade qualification in Panel Beating, Spray Painting, or Light Vehicle Mechanical
• Experience in the motor trade/industry
• Adept at using computers and learning new systems or applications
• Knowledge of conflict resolution processes
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• A team player with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and resolution skills
